Water damage resulted in buckled floors and collapsed ceilings, precipitating a remodel that brought new life to a classic home. The gracious living room, with its 11-foot ceilings and French doors, set the tone for the renovation. Crown molding, tall baseboards, and grand pilasters preserve the original design. A stone fireplace, brass trim, and elegant casings add to its Old World charm. By introducing contemporary art and design into this architectural beauty, the designers infused the house with sophistication.
